Patricia Russell-McCloud, J.D. to Headline Martin Luther King Breakfast
The 24th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. This is a community-wide observance to honor the late Dr. King and support programs offered by Crispus Attucks Community Center. Motivational speaker Patricia Russell-McCloud, J.D. will highlight the event with her encouraging words centered around this year’s theme: “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Life and Legacy.” We thank our sponsors, including Dream Maker Sponsors – Fulton Bank, Hagelgans and Veronis, and High Companies. Our community center building was again utilized on Tuesday, November 8 as a voting site for our neighborhood. We are pleased to provide this service to the Lancaster County Board of Elections.
The Crispus Attucks Food Bank served over 200 people on Wednesday, September 21, providing families with two large bags containing fruit juice, vegetables, meats, and grains. This program has grown tremendously by word of mouth throughout the community, and it provides nutritious food twice each month to those in need. We thank our funding partners
